Aurukun By-election
A by-election for a councillor of the Aurukun Shire Council was held on Saturday, 31 October 2020. The by-election was a result of the resignation of a current sitting councillor. View the notice of election PDF (0.15 MB).
The Aurukun by-election was held on the same day as the State general election. Aurukun electors voted in the by-election and State general election at the same time.
The ECQ delivered the Aurukun by-election in accordance with advice from Queensland’s health authorities with a range of protection measures in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
