At risk by having their address appear on the roll

Electors who believe that having their address shown on the publicly available electoral roll could endanger their personal safety, or the safety of their family, can apply for silent elector status.

Those who are registered with silent elector status only have their names visible on the electoral roll. No address details are shown. You can also indicate if you would prefer to receive your ballot material posted to you automatically at election time.

If you are changing your address you must also complete an enrolment form. It is best to lodge both forms together.

A medical certificate signed by a registered medical practitioner and certified that the elector is unable to sign must also be attached to the form.

The form also gives the option of registering as a postal voter, meaning ballot material will be automatically posted at election time.
