How to enrol

To enrol to vote you must complete a Queensland enrolment form.

To complete an online enrolment form, please click on the link below. You will still need to print, sign and post, fax or email a scanned image of the form to us. Alternatively, enrolment forms are available at any post office within Queensland.

If you are physically unable to sign your enrolment form, you can make your mark on the form and have someone else witness it. Your witness must be eligible to be on the electoral roll.

You will receive written confirmation once your enrolment has been processed.

Enrolling for Federal, State and local government elections

Enrolling to vote is compulsory in Queensland for ALL those eligible.

In Queensland, we have a joint roll maintained by the Australian Electoral Commission. This means you only need to complete the one Queensland enrolment form to be on the Electoral Roll for Federal, State and local government elections.

Changing your details

In Queensland changes to your enrolment details are unable to be made without your signature. Therefore, you are required to complete an enrolment form each time you move address, whether it is down the road or across the country.

By doing so it will automatically update changes from your old electoral details to your new ones.

You are also required to complete an enrolment form if your name changes.
